Polaris Management Partners (Polaris).
Polaris is a growing management consulting firm supporting life sciences companies, helping them improve and automate their compliance, finance, sales and marketing processes.
Polaris offers a suite of services that specifically target the compliance risks confronting the Pharmaceutical industry. Our firm employs a staff of 55 and is located in New York City.
The Senior Consultant reports to the Project Manager on an assignment and is independently responsible for meeting goals and objectives of components of the project that have been assigned to the Senior Consultant.
The Senior Consultant has an ability to develop and present project plans and proposals, assign duties, track accomplishments, monitor and review performance of all team members.
The Senior Consultant will have substantial client contact. Internal projects will also be assigned on an as needed basis.
General Responsibilities:
• Develop and present, project plans and proposals, develop pricing and fee structure and obtain signoff from the consulting staff and from senior management
• Manage process reengineering and technology projects
• Independently conduct analysis, interviews, gather data and present findings
• Develop a recommendation and message for the client. Develop and present project findings and develop client deliverables, with support from Project Managers
• Create and present client deliverables while managing deliverables of team members
• Manage project and timelines
• Independently manage client meetings; develop agenda’s and manage the follow up from meetings
• Ability to become a project manager within a year
• Develop relationships with clients; identify, drive, and follow up on future opportunities
General Requirements:
• Minimum 3-6years management consulting experience, preferably with a Big 4/5 or strategy consulting firm
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required; Masters degree preferred
• Experience with requirements gathering for technology solutions
• Demonstrated project management skills, PMP certification and Six Sigma training preferred
• Successful track record managing projects (on time and on budget)
• Analytical and quantitative: comfortable with numbers, strong business acumen, and excellent leadership skills
• Experience or knowledge of pharmaceutical industry a plus
